The 31-year-old, whose contract expires in 2019, claims he has been allowed to leave this summer and insists he wants to avoid an argument with the Ligue 1 club
Lassana Diarra claims he is free to leave Marseille and is hoping the club allow him to move on this summer.
The 31-year-old has been one of the standout stars in Ligue 1 this season and has been linked with a host of European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Tottenham.
And the former Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid midfielder, whose contract with Marseille expires in 2019, insists he wants to avoid an argument with his current club.
“I am free,” Diarra told L’Equipe 21.
“I do not want not enter into a war with Marseille, and I think we will not get there. I hope they keep their word.”
