The Premier League outfit are in talks over a deal for the 34-year-old and are willing to offer him an £8 million tax-free signing-on fee, as well as £250,000 a week
Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be the perfect fit for Manchester United, according to their former first-team coach Rene Meulensteen.
Goal exclusively revealed on Tuesday that United are ready to offer the 34-year-old, whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires this summer, an £8 million tax-free signing-on bonus plus a £250,000 weekly salary.
Ibrahimovic has won 12 league titles in his last 13 years and Meulensteen, who worked alongside Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford before the Scot’s retirement in 2013, believes the striker is exactly what United need.

“In some ways it would be the perfect fit for United at this moment in the time,” Meulensteen told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“For young players, he’s got a great personality, a charismatic person, he’s a leader in the dressing room, a winner.
“He’s won I don’t know how many titles so he brings a lot to the club and something that could really put United into winning ways.”
