RUMOURS: Real Madrid have advantage over Barcelona in battle for Martial

The former Monaco star has been in and out of Jose Mourinho’s starting XI this season and the Spanish giants look set to compete for his signature

Barcelona and Real Madrid are both interested in signing Anthony Martial, with Manchester United considering a swap deal for James Rodriguez with the latter, The Sun reports.

The 20-year-old was the subject of interest from Barca before he joined United from Monaco in September 2015, and still see him as a potential signing despite his reported £60 million transfer fee.

But it could be James who holds the key. The Colombian is unhappy at Madrid and has been in and out of Zinedine Zidane’s starting XI, much like Martial at Old Trafford.

United have been heavily linked with the 25-year-old and a swap deal could satisfy both clubs and both players.
