RUMOURS: Rakitic to snub Man Utd and sign new Barcelona deal

The Croatian midfielder has been linked away from Camp Nou, with the Red Devils, Juventus and Chelsea all said to be interested, but looks likely to sign a new deal

Manchester United target Ivan Rakitic is set to dismiss interest from Jose Mourinho and sign a new deal at Camp Nou, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Croatian has been a key player since his arrival from Sevilla in 2014 but has recently lost importance following the signings of Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez.

Rakitic has started 10 of Barcelona’s 15 La Liga games, however, and is still seen as a key part of Luis Enrique’s squad and is therefore expected to sign a new deal at the club.

Juventus and Chelsea are also said to be interested in signing the midfielder, and Real Madrid have also been linked, but Rakitic’s agent has denied speculation surrounding a summer exit.
