West Ham’s youngest-ever player has decided to remain at the London Stadium despite interest from the Premier League giants
West Ham youngster Reece Oxford has spurned the advances of Manchester United in order to sign a new contract with the Hammers, according to the Sun.
Both United and neighbours Manchester City were keen on the England under-20 star, who burst onto the scene at the start of last season when becoming West Ham’s youngest-ever first-team player as a 16-year-old.
Those advances spurred West Ham into action though, and it is now being reported that Oxford will sign a new five-year deal at the club.
It is also thought that the Hammers will release news of the deal on Friday as Oxford celebrates his 18th birthday.
