Despite his father’s allegiance to their local rivals Manchester United, the 7-year-old is believed to have teamed up with the team from across town
Wayne Rooney’s oldest son, Kai, is attending Manchester City’s youth academy, the Daily Mail reports.
The son of the Manchester United captain was said to have been attending the Red Devils’ development team since October, teaming up with Michael Carrick’s son Jacey.
However, it is believed that 7-year-old Kai has since joined up with the academy of City – United’s arch-rivals.
With his father and family watching from the sidelines, the youngster is said to be impressing during his time with the Citizens’ youth set-up – though Red Devils fans may not be quite as pleased with the cross-town switch of allegiances.
