The former England manager is set to return to the Premier League to take over at Selhurst Park following his compatriot’s dismissal on Thursday
Sam Allardyce is set to return to English football by replacing Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace, according to widespread reports in the English media.
The former England coach, who was sacked after being filmed offering to help undercover journalists get around third-party ownership rules, is the odds-on favourite for the job with most bookmakers.
According to Sky Sports, Allardyce’s representatives will meet with Palace chairman Steve Parish in the next 24 hours. The Eagles currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League.
