'Please fail your medical and stay forever' – Chelsea fans sad to see Oscar leave

The Brazilian midfielder has agreed to move to the Chinese Super League, with Blues supporters reluctantly wishing the 25-year-old well with the next stage of his career

After his transfer from Chelsea to Shanghai SIPG for £52 million was confirmed, Brazil international midfielder Oscar reached out to his fans online, thanking them for their support.

The 25-year-old is set to triple his wages in the Chinese Super League, having spent four years in the Premier League with the Blues.

Oscar played over 200 times for Chelsea after moving from Internacional, winning the Premier League and Europa League trophies.

Despite seeing the midfielder leave for a huge fee and pick up massive wages, Chelsea fans were far from disgruntled with Oscar’s decision to move to China.

Supporters mostly wished him well with the transfer, claiming that he was underused and undervalued at Stamford Bridge.

@oscar8 @ChelseaFC come back strong like your bro @DavidLuiz_4 but it hurt me that you are off to china, I would prefer an European club.
