The Spain international has worked with Antonio Conte before at Juventus and could be drafted in by the Blues as cover for Diego Costa
Chelsea’s search for a striker has led them to consider a January approach for Swansea City’s Fernando Llorente, according to AS.
The Spain international penned a two-year contract at the Liberty Stadium after arriving from Sevilla over the summer and has scored five times in 13 appearances to date.
At 31 years of age, Llorente boasts plenty of experience and Antonio Conte sees him as a useful back-up option to Diego Costa – with Michy Batshuayi out of favour.
The Blues boss has worked with Llorente before, with the powerful frontman netting 27 times in 92 outings for Juventus.
