Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is looking to return to the Bundesliga to add extra firepower to his squad, with the Sweden international high on his list of targets
Liverpool are set to make a £20 million bid to sign Sweden international Emil Forsberg from RB Leipzig, according to the Sun.
The 25-year-old has been in excellent form for Leipzig so far this season, scoring five goals and providing eight assists as Ralph Hassenhutl’s side became unexpected title contenders.
A former winner of Swedish midfielder of the year, Forsberg moved to Germany from Malmo in 2015, and scored eight goals in his first full campaign with Leipzig as they won promotion to the Bundesliga.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is eager to bring one of the German top-flight’s top talents to England, with former Hoffenheim attacker Roberto Firmino flourishing once Klopp took charge at Anfield.
