The Hornets have launched a bid to bring in one of the top scorers from the second tier, with Walter Mazzarri keen to increase his firepower
Watford have made an £8 million bid in order to bring Brentford striker Scott Hogan to the Premier League, according to the Guardian.
The 24-year-old has been in excellent form for the Bees this season, netting 14 goals in 25 Championship games, and is seen as a solution to Watford’s scoring problems by manager Walter Mazzarri.
Hogan has also been on the radar of West Ham and Newcastle, but is only likely to leave Griffin Park for a Premier League side. The forward’s current contract expires in 2018, but Brentford may decide to cash in for a large enough offer.
