Eddie Howe has seen the Dutch defender recalled by Chelsea and is now looking to land Reds outcast Mamadou Sakho on loan
Liverpool outcast Mamadou Sakho has emerged as a loan target for Bournemouth following Chelsea’s decision to recall Nathan Ake, reports the Daily Mail.
The Blues have opted to bring their Netherlands U21 international back to Stamford Bridge after seeing him impress for the Cherries this season.
Eddie Howe has, however, been left short on options as a result, with Simon Francis currently serving a three-match ban.
He is now looking to Anfield for possible cover, with Sakho and fit-again Joe Gomez considered to be realistic targets due to their need for regular game time.
Any approach for Sakho will need to be made quickly, though, as European giants Sevilla and Galatasaray have already expressed an interest in taking the France international on a permanent basis.
