The England international’s agent has rubbished reports suggesting that the full-back is out of favour with Jose Mourinho and destined to move on
Luke Shaw is “happy at Manchester United” and not looking to leave the club any time soon, insists his agent.
The 21-year-old full-back started the 2016-17 campaign very much in favour, making 13 appearances under Jose Mourinho.

He has, however, not been seen since November, with United hitting a fine run of form without him.
Mourinho is favouring other options at present, and has publicly rebuked Shaw on two occasions – after seeing him struggle in a defeat at Watford in September and following his absence from the squad for an away date at Swansea City.
A lack of football, and questioning from his boss, has sparked speculation suggesting that the defender’s days at Old Trafford are numbered.
A summer exit has been mooted for the England international, with United expected to continue their rebuilding project under Mourinho.

Shaw’s representative has, however, sought to rubbish the rumours and reiterate that all parties are pulling in the same direction.
Jonathan Barnett told the International Business Times: “I am angry with these reports suggesting Luke Shaw will leave Manchester United in the summer.
“I am angry at the irresponsible journalism.
“Luke Shaw is happy at Manchester United and also, Manchester United are happy with him.”

Matteo Darmian, who is a more natural fit on the right-hand side of a back four, has been operating at left-back of late, while Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo can fill in if required.
Shaw faces fierce competition then to win his place back, but still has plenty of time in which to prove his worth before the season comes to a close – with United competing on four fronts.
