Kenyan defender Aboud Omar has found a new club barely two months after he was released by Belgian side Slavia Sofia.
The Harambee Stars left back joined Belgian Pro League Cercle Brugge where he will link up with compatriot Johanna Omollo.
“We are happy to announce the arrival of Omar. He is a player with many qualities, and will certainly make progress and will show himself this season in the Jupiter Pro League,” Cercle Brugge sports director Francois Vitali told the club website.
The utility player who can also operate in the midfield made 23 appearances for Sofia but the Belgian side terminated his contract.
Omar was controversially released by Sofia in April for allegedly being abusive towards his teammates and coaches.
