Volunteers had worked tirelessly to paint and clean areas of the stadium in time for football returning in February, but the latest setback has left the club fearing this could be their last year of existence.
This is not the first time that weather, or indeed flooding, has affected the club, but after consultations at a director’s meeting, the fears are this now could be the last.
Plans are being made to knock down their current clubhouse and replace it with a two-story building that would be out of the reach of potential flooding damages in the future.

Club chairman, Andy Charlesworth, said, via ?York Press: “We really, really appreciate all the support we have had from everyone.
“We took all of the floor up in the clubhouse and lifted all of the furniture and bar stock.
A “JustGiving” page ?has been created in a bid to raise outside funds, and the club plan to get a grant from the Football Foundation to cover most of the cost. So far, 55% of their £12,000 target has been met, with donations coming in from far and wide to save Tadcaster Albion Football Club.
