Women’s Euro 2021: When & Where England’s Lionesses Will Play Every Match

?Football is coming home.

UEFA have announced the full schedule for Euro 2021, which is being held across 10 different stadiums in England. The announcement came exactly 500 days before the competition kicks off on July 7 next year, detailing when and where every single match will be held.

As hosts of the tournament, England’s Lionesses are the only team who are confirmed to be playing at Euro 2021 so far as the qualifying stages are still going on.

Here’s all the key dates and venues you’ll need to be aware of next summer.

?Matchday 1 – England will kick-off the competitions at Old Trafford on Wednesday, July 7. It will be the only game at Euro 2021 which is being held at Manchester United’s stadium.

Matchday 2 – The second game of the group stages will be played on Monday, July 12. It will be held at Brighton & Hove Albion’s 30,000 capacity stadium.

Matchday 3 – England’s third and final group stage match will also be on the south coast, this time at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on Friday, July 16.

Should England make it through the group stages, there are two different possible outcomes for the first round of knockout games.

Group A winners – If England top their group, Phil Neville’s side will have their second trip to Brighton in the competition on July 21.

Group A runners up – A second-place finish in the group stages will see the Lionesses play at Brentford’s new Community Stadium on July 22.

They could even play at the ground before Brentford, as the club will apply to have one more season at Griffin Park if they gain promotion to the Premier League this season.

Semi-Finals

Just like with the quarter-finals, there are two different possible venues depending on if England finish at the top of Group A or as the runners up.

Group A winners – After topping the group and then winning their quarter-final in Brighton, England will have the chance to play at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane.

Due to the way the draw works, England would be the away team for this fixture on July 27.

Group A runners up – The Lionesses will travel to Milton Keynes for the semi-final stage of Euro 2021 on July 28, if they finished second in their group and make it past the quarter finals.

England’s Lionesses will be playing at Wembley Stadium on August 1 when they reach the final (yes, when) next summer.

They will be the home team in the match if they finish top of Group A and the away team if they’re runners up.

It will be the second final in a row that will be held at England’s national stadium, with the men’s competition this year also coming to a close at Wembley.
