Strasbourg vs PSG: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction

Paris Saint-Germain travel to Strasbourg on Friday night with the Ligue 1 title already secured.

A 1-1 draw against Lens last time out brought an end to five consecutive victories but was still enough to make sure of their eighth Ligue 1 crown in the past ten years – although it wasn’t met with the most positive of reception from supporters.

With everything wrapped up, Mauricio Pochettino’s men now take on a Strasbourg side whose season is far from decided as they battle for European qualification. One point off Nice in fifth, Strasbourg have slightly faltered of late, winning just once in their previous four league outings.

Here’s 90min’s preview of this one.

Where is the match being played? Stade de la Meinau, Strasbourg
TV channel/live stream?
BT Sport 2 (UK), beIN Sports (US)
Highlights? BT Sport YouTube channel, Ligue 1 Uber Eats YouTube channel
Referee?
Ruddy Buquet

There are no fresh concerns for Julien Stephan and his men, although they still have plenty of absentees.

Dimitri Lienard, Jean-Eudes Aholou, Nordine Kandil, Marvin Elimbi, Abdul Majeed Waris and Ismael Doukoure are all likely to continue their spells on the sidelines.

Pochettino will have to make do without the injured Leandro Paredes, Julian Draxler and Mauro Icardi for this trip, and will have to wait and see whether Abdou Diallo is fit enough to make the squad.

Elsewhere, Idrissa Gueye will be absent through suspension, likely resulting in an opportunity for Danilo in the middle of the park.

There’s a very bizarre atmosphere around PSG at the moment – being booed in the process of securing the league title is not exactly customary- with disappointment and frustration proving the overwhelming emotions of a season nearing its conclusion.

The objective for the Parisian outfit is now to keep momentum and give their fans a festival in these last four league games. Their football throughout the season, however, suggests a carnival may not be forthcoming.

Pochettino’s side has struggled at the best of times to really showcase its talent as a collective and, coming up against a Strasbourg side vying for European qualification in an exciting race, this juggernaut of a team could leave their fans a little flat once more.

Prediction: Strasbourg 1-1 PSG
