When is the 2023/24 Champions League last 16 draw?

2024/25 represents the start of significant change to the Champions League, but the knockout phase of the competition will be left alone.

So, while the initial phase of the tournament is set to evolve drastically, this won’t be the last time we get to enjoy a Champions League round of 16 draw.

The conclusion of the group stage as we know it means it won’t be long until we get into the business end of the 2023/24 Champions League and that begins with the first draw of the knockout phase.

There’s nothing complicated about the 2023/24 Champions League round of 16 draw. The eight group winners are seeded, while the eight runners-up are unseeded.

Each seeded team will be drawn against an unseeded team. Clubs cannot face opponents they met in the group stage, nor can they be drawn against teams from the same national association.

The unseeded teams host the first leg of the ties.

The 2023/24 Champions League round of 16 draw will take place on Monday 18 December following the conclusion of the group stages on Wednesday 13 December.

The 2023/24 Champions League round of 16 draw can be streamed on UEFA.com. While there are no broadcasting details as of yet, it’s likely that the draw will be televised live in the UK on TNT Sports.

While the draw takes place in December, the round of 16 games do not take place until February and March 2024.

First legs are scheduled for 13/14 and 20/21 February 2024 while the second legs will be spread out across 5/6 and 12/13 March 2024.
