Liverpool were the big winners over Chelsea in the Premier League on Wednesday night, putting down another marker as Jurgen Klopp’s farewell tour continues.
Diogo Jota and teenage talent Conor Bradley gave the Reds a first half lead, which increased further when Dominik Szoboszlai scored a third midway through the second half. Christopher Nkunku did pull a goal back for Chelsea, but it was only brief respite before Luis Diaz got Liverpool’s fourth.
Obviously, people on X, formerly Twitter, had a field day.
Following an emotional week at Anfield, Liverpool provide the perfect antidote by sweeping Chelsea aside. ?
That ought to give him a much-needed ‘energy’ boost! ?? pic.twitter.com/pwfQM8bq12

It’s called grabbing your chance with both hands.
That’s just stunning from Bradley, the switch off play is absolutely fantastic. The touch from Bradley is absolutely sublime before he picks his head up and looks for the cross which he plays perfectly for Dominik Szoboszlai to plant his header into the net for 3-0 Liverpool.

It was shield your eyes time for Chelsea fans.
This has gone well ?

Those of a Liverpool persuation are quite happy not to have paid over £110m for Moise Caicedo.
Caicedo subbed off with his side 3-0 down, just think he could have played alongside Conor Bradley.

Suddenly, Chelsea made slightly more of a game of it. What might their season have been like had this man been available throughout…?
Christopher Nkunku has scored 2 goals in his last 4 games for Chelsea:

Chelsea fans were raging at then not being awarded a penalty for an apparent foul on Nkunku.
That was such a key moment too, 3-2 and the momentum has clearly changed and the stadium gets nervous.
Would honestly love Pochettino’s interview today to just be a tirade against the ref and VAR. Let’s see if he has the balls to call out the cheating.— Rob (@Journalism_RP) January 31, 2024
Darwin Nunez can’t score himself but will lay them for others, no problem.
Darwin Nunez has hit the frame of the goal as many times in this game as any other player has in the entire Premier League season so far.

Darwin Nunez can hit the woodwork three times in a single game but then do things like that assist for Luis Diaz. He’s energy and fun and maybe we need to stop waiting for him to come truly good. Maybe he’s already him.

History maker!
