Juventus release stunning vineyard-inspired 2025/26 third kit

Juventus have unveiled their third kit for the 2025/26 season – a stunning release inspired by the vineyards of Piedmont, the region the club calls home.

Continuing the club’s seasonal storytelling of Italian Excellence, the third jersey forms the next chapter in a narrative that began with a fashion-inspired home kit and a summer-celebrating away strip. This time, the focus turns to another cultural pillar of the region: wine.

The shirt features a grape-inspired engineered graphic that runs subtly across the body, with a refined colour palette of black, burgundy, and dark green. Adding to the classic feel, adidas’ Trefoil logo makes its return, just as it did on last season’s third kit, while Juventus’ iconic Zebra crest also takes pride of place.

A surprise twist comes with the dark green Three Stripes, which run across the shoulders, adding a contemporary edge to the retro detailing. A flat-knit V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs round off the design, balancing modern tailoring with vintage cues.

The kit is completed with black shorts featuring off-white accents on the club crest and matching dark green Three Stripes, alongside black socks that tie the look together.

The Juventus 2025/26 third kit is available now through adidas and the club’s official online store, as well as select global retailers.

Jamie Vardy bites back at Italian reporter in first interview as Cremonese player

Whether it’s winding up opposition fans, blowing a referee’s whistle mid-game, or dropping one-liners in press conferences, Jamie Vardy has always been one of football’s great characters.

And in his very first interview as a Cremonese player, the 38-year-old striker showed exactly why.

Vardy, who joined the newly-promoted Serie A side on a one-year deal after leaving Leicester City, was quizzed about his age and motivation during his unveiling.

“In Italy we are a little bit sceptical about players like you approaching 40. We tend to say, where’s their motivation, how fit are they? What do you say in response to the sceptics?” asked one reporter.

Vardy’s reply was as sharp as his finishing.

“You must be one of the doubters,” he snapped back. “You’re one that I’ll have to prove wrong.”

He added: “Age is just a number. As long as my legs are still doing exactly what they used to and feel as fresh as they do, I’ll carry on. At the moment there are no signs of slowing down, so I’ll keep going. I’ll be giving my all for this club.”

Cremonese, who defied expectations last season to earn promotion, have started brightly and sit joint-top of Serie A after two games.

Vardy could make his debut this Saturday in a blockbuster clash at San Siro against Inter.

Time for Vardy to put his money where his mouth is – though if his career so far has taught us anything, it’s that doubters should be worried.

Andre Onana involved in physical confrontation after Cameroon defeat

Andre Onana has endured a turbulent spell at Manchester United since arriving two years ago, and now the criticism has followed him onto international duty with Cameroon.

The goalkeeper made a costly mistake in his nation’s clash against Cape Verde, failing to come off his line to close down striker Dailon Livramento. The forward calmly slotted home in the 54th minute, handing Cape Verde a surprise 1-0 victory.

Frustration boiled over after the match when fans stormed the pitch. One supporter approached Onana from behind, phone in hand, appearing to film or take a photo. The keeper reacted angrily, shoving the fan away with his hand connecting to the supporter’s face – an incident captured by another onlooker recording from the front.

The fan responded by throwing a water bottle towards Onana before being ushered away.

The flashpoint comes at a time of upheaval for the 28-year-old, with Manchester United having recently signed Belgian keeper Senne Lammens.

A loan move to Turkish side Trabzonspor is now finalised, with the two clubs having reached an agreement prior to the international break.

For fans of the Turkish club, the hope will be that Onana can not only rebuild his career on the pitch, but also keep his temper in check off it.

PUMA honour Memphis Depay as Netherlands’ record scorer with ultra-rare boots

Memphis Depay etched his name into Dutch football history last week, overtaking Robin van Persie to become the Netherlands’ all-time leading scorer with his 51st and 52nd goals.

To mark the milestone, PUMA have teamed up with the forward to create the MD51 ULTRA – a limited-edition design that tells the story of his journey both on and off the pitch.

Built on a white base, the boots feature contrasting colourways: one in blue and black to reflect family, faith, and culture, the other in orange and black to capture his footballing triumphs. Details include his famous lion tattoo, the number 10, tributes to his Ghanaian roots, and a nod to his mother, Cora.

But fans won’t be able to cop them. Only 51 pairs exist, each going directly to the people who shaped his life – from family to mentors and close friends.

“I was a young boy with big dreams; a cub became a lion on the biggest stage,” Depay said. “To become the Netherlands’ top male goal scorer is a true honour… I wanted to celebrate by giving a special token of my appreciation to the people that helped me along the way.”

For Depay, it’s less about hype drops and more about a personal thank you. And for everyone else? Another reminder that the man with the lion on his chest now roars the loudest in Dutch football history.

adidas ‘Trionda’ 2026 World Cup ball leaked

Fresh images of the official 2026 FIFA World Cup ball have surfaced, giving fans an early look at what the world’s best players will be striking next summer.

Dubbed the adidas ‘Trionda’, the design nods to the three host nations – USA, Canada, and Mexico – with a crisp white base accented by red, green, and blue panels.

Each colour is filled with dynamic patterns inspired by the host countries, while a red panel carries the adidas logo and a blue section displays the FIFA World Cup trophy emblem. The name itself blends “Tri” (for the three nations) and “Onda” (Spanish and Portuguese for “wave”).

In terms of build, the Trionda uses just four panels, evoking memories of the beloved 2014 ‘Brazuca’ while pushing forward with modern construction techniques to ensure consistency, accuracy, and durability throughout the tournament.

The leaked images, shared by @RodrigoIgnacioHerreraRoa, per Footy Headlines, show the ball outside of its box in full detail – suggesting this could be the final version set to be used on football’s biggest stage.

Expected to drop in October, it’s a design that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking – now all that’s left is for the tournament itself to live up to the ball’s billing.
