‘Like father, like son’ – Cristiano Ronaldo shares proud gym moment with son Cristiano Jr.

Cristiano Ronaldo has long been known for his dedication to fitness, with the 40-year-old showing no signs of slowing down. From a meticulous diet to cryotherapy recovery and intense gym routines, his commitment to peak performance is legendary.

Now, that same dedication seems to be rubbing off on his teenage son, Cristiano Jr.

In a new Instagram post shared with his 657 million followers, Ronaldo proudly showed the two post-workout in what appears to be their home gym – shirtless, flexing side-by-side in one shot and sharing a proud embrace in another.

Ronaldo captioned it simply but meaningfully: “Tal pai tal filho”, Portuguese for “Like father, like son.”

And the gym isn’t the only place where the younger Cristiano is mirroring his dad. Earlier this year, Cristiano Jr. – a member of Al-Nassr’s youth academy – scored his first international goals for Portugal’s U-15 team.

He netted twice in a win over Croatia at the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament, and celebrated in unmistakable fashion: with his father’s iconic “SIUUUU” leap, arms down by his sides, shouting triumphantly.

Naturally, Ronaldo Sr. couldn’t have been prouder. He shared clips of the moment in a joint post with the Portugal national team, proudly captioned: “Cristiano Jr.’s first two SIUUUU for Portugal!”

As Cristiano Jr. grows into his own name – both in the gym and on the pitch – it’s clear he’s not just inspired by his father’s legacy, he’s actively building on it.

adidas unveil F50 SPARKFUSION boots, designed for women by women

With Women’s Euro 2025 just weeks away, adidas has unveiled a game-changing release: F50 SPARKFUSION, its first elite-level football boot built specifically for female athletes – not just in color or marketing, but in structure, fit, and feel.

Drawing from its largest-ever database of female foot scans and anatomical data, adidas created the boot with direct input from a host of top-tier women’s players and teams – including Trinity Rodman, Linda Caicedo, Jule Brand, Vicky Lopez, Arsenal Women, Real Madrid Femenino, and Olympique Lyonnais.

The result is a product that prioritises female-specific foot shape over retrofitted unisex templates.

Unlike most boots that have historically used a male last (the mould around which shoes are shaped), the F50 SPARKFUSION is built around a bespoke women’s last – called FUSIONLAST – which offers a snugger heel, more arch support, and added volume through the midfoot, closely matching the anatomical characteristics of the average female foot.

This refined construction enhances lockdown and comfort, while enabling sharper turns and explosive directional shifts.

In addition, to boost comfort and performance, the F50 SPARKFUSION features a FUSIONSOLE sockliner for added arch support and step-in comfort, along with a redesigned SPRINTFRAME FUSION FG/AG soleplate for firm ground and artificial grass. Based on pressure point data, it includes a central pivot stud for smoother rotation and a fourth lateral stud to better distribute pressure during quick movements.

Washington Spirit and USWNT forward Trinity Rodman, who worked with adidas throughout the process, praised the result.

“Developing tailored products for the women’s game is a huge win, and I’ve loved being part of the journey for F50 SPARKFUSION,” she said. “It’s built to support the way I move – quick changes in direction are a huge part of my game. I can’t wait to wear these on the pitch and for more players to feel the difference.”

The F50 SPARKFUSION will be available in three silhouettes: a hero mid-cut, a low-cut laced version, and a laceless option, which are on sale now.

As the women’s game continues to grow at every level, the F50 SPARKFUSION represents a major stride forward – proving that performance design should always fit the athlete it’s built for.

Sergio Aguero aims hilarious digs at Cristiano Ronaldo in IShowSpeed encounter

Sergio Aguero isn’t just Lionel Messi’s former Argentina teammate – he’s also one of his closest friends in football.

Their bond is so strong that Messi is even the godfather of Aguero’s son, Benjamin.

So when popular YouTuber IShowSpeed recently met Aguero backstage at the Club World Cup and brought up Cristiano Ronaldo – Messi’s long-time rival – it was only natural that Aguero jumped to his friend’s defence, tossing in a few cheeky jabs at the Portuguese star along the way.

Aguero and Speed were both at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, to watch Messi’s Inter Miami face Egyptian side Al Ahly in the Club World Cup opener.

Before the match, Speed – livestreaming from what appeared to be a private box – approached Aguero and asked if he could help him “link up” with Messi.

Aguero, knowing Speed’s well-documented admiration for Ronaldo, laughed and replied: “He’s OK, he’s a good player. But I prefer Messi.”

But Aguero wasn’t done. When Speed responded, “I prefer Ronaldo,” Aguero fired back with a grin: “But is Ronaldo playing here, at the [Club] World Cup? Or not?” – a clear dig, as Ronaldo’s Al Nassr didn’t qualify for the tournament.

“Maybe he has to watch, no?” Aguero added with a playful smirk.

Still not finished, Aguero took one final swipe after Speed insisted, “He’s going to play in the World Cup though. And he’s going to win the World Cup.”

With a sly grin, Aguero responded, “Ah, he won the World Cup?” When Speed corrected him, saying it was actually the Nations League Ronaldo had won, Aguero simply replied: “Congratulations.”

Next time Speed shows up with questions about Messi, he might want to be better prepared – because when it comes to defending his friend, Aguero doesn’t miss.

‘It was an honour’: Lionel Messi and Patrick Mahomes collab for ‘You Got This’ campaign

Last year, adidas launched its “You Got This” campaign aimed at breaking down the negative pressure athletes face by promoting encouragement, positivity, and the importance of support systems – be it from parents, coaches, teammates or friends.

While early phases featured stars like Lamine Yamal, Aitana Bonmatí, Trinity Rodman and NBA standout Anthony Edwards, the campaign has now reached new heights with global icons Lionel Messi and NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes joining in.

In the newest video, Messi and Mahomes face off in a friendly treadmill challenge – urging each other to run faster and push harder.

The clip ends on a light-hearted note, with the two athletes playfully swatting each other’s hands away from the speed controls, sharing a moment of competitive camaraderie.

Adding to the feel-good tone, their wives – Antonela Roccuzzo and Brittany Mahomes – also make appearances, reinforcing the campaign’s core message: that encouragement and friendly competition among loved ones can help athletes push their limits.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and widely regarded as one of the greatest NFL players of all time, said that “it was an honour to team up” with Messi.

“In sports, as in anything that you are passionate about, the work never stops. But nobody succeeds alone. You need people who believe in you and who challenge you to be better,” he said. “It’s a reminder that we achieve more together than we ever could alone.”

Messi echoed the sentiment: “Patrick and I come from two different worlds of football, but the passion is the same.

“Knowing people everywhere are watching and believing in us drives everything we do,” he said. “The support from fans around the world is más que palabras, more than words, and we hope it inspires everyone to lift each other up.”

Even the greatest athletes in the world need support – whether it’s a teammate, a partner, or a rival pushing them to go just a little faster.

James Maddison confirms he’s expecting twins again in Rome beach video

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison and his model partner, Kennedy Alexa, have joyfully announced they are expecting twins again.

The couple, who started dating in 2020, already share fraternal twins Delilah and Rome, born in July 2023. Prior to that, Alexa gave birth to their son Leo two years earlier.

They shared the exciting news through a heartwarming Instagram video filmed on a beach with their children.

The clip begins with Alexa turning around to reveal her baby bump. Maddison and Alexa then hold up ultrasound images as they pose with their kids, before the video ends with Maddison writing “Twins again” and “Maddison Twins Part 2” in the sand.

The announcement quickly drew reactions from Maddison’s Tottenham teammates.

Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro responded with heart-eyes emojis, while Spurs’ official account posted a simple white heart. Dominic Solanke commented: “Beautiful chaos.”

Meanwhile, Becky Vardy, wife of Maddison’s former Leicester City teammate Jamie Vardy, jokingly wrote, “Welcome to carnage.”

Having two sets of twins is quite rare, but Maddison isn’t the only well-known athlete to share this unique family experience.

Tennis legend Roger Federer and his wife, Mirka Vavrinec, also have two sets of twins. Mirka gave birth to identical girls, Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, in 2009, followed by twin boys, Leo and Lenny, five years later.

With twins arriving again, it looks like the Maddisons are well on their way to fielding their very own five-a-side team at home.
