‘Unhappy’ Kaka open to move from Madrid to Milan

Kaka has revealed that he is desperate to end his Real Madrid nightmare and return to AC Milan in the January transfer window.

The Brazil international left San Siro for Santiago Bernabeu in 2009 but has fallen out of first-team favour under Jose Mourinho, and is now looking for an exit route.

After having a meal with Rossoneri attacker Robinho, the midfielder admitted he was not enjoying his time at the Blancos.

The 30-year-old told Sky Sport 24: “My situation at Real Madrid is an unhappy one – for me and for others.”

When asked if he would accept a reduction in wages to return to the San Siro outfit, he responded: “I have already said I’m open to find a solution. In Milan, I had many beautiful moments and still have friends here.

“I [have] already said I’m open to find a solution with Real, and if it’s good for me it’s good for everyone.”

Despite Kaka saying he wants to return to the Serie A side, the club’s vice-president Adriano Galliani had revealed earlier on Wednesday evening that a bid was impossible due to salary issues.

But he hinted free agent David Beckham – who has been on loan at San Siro in the past – is a slightly more likely target.

“Kaka is impossible, as his wages are the problem,” Vice-president Galliani said.

“David Beckham is a suggestion. However, I’d say it is 99.9 per cent unlikely to happen.

“Robinho is absolutely confirmed to stay. We will not sell Abate, so Davide Santon will not arrive.

“We have received other offers for our players, but the sensation is that the squad will remain exactly as it is.”

Robbie Keane signs new multi-year deal with LA Galaxy

Robbie Keane has signed a “multi-year” contract extension with LA Galaxy after leading the American side to the MLS Cup championship after joining David Beckham’s former side in 2011.

The former Liverpool and Tottenham forward is back in training with the White Hart Lane club in order to maintain his fitness levels, but recently quashed rumours of a loan move back to the Premier League.

And Galaxy fans will be delighted that the club has secured their star striker to a new deal after being voted the club’s Most Valuable Player of 2012.

“The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has agreed to a multi-year contract extension with forward Robbie Keane,” the club revealed on their official website.

“Per club and league policy, details of the contract were not released.”

The Republic of Ireland captain bagged 16 goals in 28 games for the club last season, and also set up nine goals for his team-mates as the side won the title by beating Houston Dynamo 3-1 in the playoff final.

Keane spent last January on loan at Premier League side Aston Villa, but despite speculation linking him with Harry Redknapp’s QPR he has elected to simply train with Andre Villas-Boas’ side to be fully fit for the next season with Galaxy.

The striker has been prolific at international level, scoring 54 times in 122 appearances to lead Ireland’s all-time goalscoring charts and has 180 goals in 476 league matches.

Lyon confirm Besiktas bid for Briand

Olympique Lyonnais president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that Besiktas have made a bid for Jimmy Briand.

The winger is one of the Lyon players expected to leave the Ligue 1 club this transfer window, with Lisandro Lopez, Michel Bastos and Bafetimbi Gomis also believed to be departing.

Aulas said that Briand, the French club and the Istanbul-based team must agree on a deal before anything is official, but admitted a bid had been made and talks are in progress.

“We accepted a proposal from Besiktas,” he told BeIn Sport.

“But, before any transfer or a loan can be realised, it is essential that all three parties are in agreement. This is not yet the case.”

Briand has made 10 appearances for Lyon in Ligue 1 this season having struggled with injury, scoring once in the process.

Fulham set to rival QPR for M'Vila signature

Fulham have registered their interest in signing Yann M’Vila, Goal.com understands.

The Craven Cottage club are preparing to rival QPR for the signature of the Rennes midfielder.

It is believed that Fulham have made an enquiry for the France international but have not yet followed it up with a formal bid.

M’Vila is stalling on a move to QPR, as he waits to weigh up the interest from other English outfits.

The Premier League’s bottom club have made a bid for the midfield anchorman and manager Harry Redknapp spoke confidently on Tuesday night of signing the player this month following positive talks.

“I told him that he would come here and be a good player, and if he does well, if we stay up, in 18 months he could get a move to Manchester United, or Arsenal, or Chelsea, if that is what he is looking for,” said Redknapp after QPR knocked West Brom out of the FA Cup.

“In the meantime he could come here and we put him on the stage and show what he can do.

“If we can build a team then hopefully he will stay with us. If not he will put himself on the stage for bigger things.”

Fulham want to reinforce their central midfield in the January window, and have also made moves for Ghana international Derek Boateng and Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson.

It is understood they are not close to a deal for M’Vila but are waiting in the wings while they assess their options.

M’Vila has 22 caps for France and was part of their Euro 2012 squad but he is serving a two-year ban from international duty after he and four other players in the Under-21 squad went on an unauthorised night out in November.

Redknapp said: “He is a top, proper footballer. He can play. He controls the game, he can pass the ball, he is strong.

“He’s had a few problems off the field but he is only young. If he behaves himself and comes and plays for us as he is able to then he will be a great asset.”

Guardiola signed Bayern deal in December, reveals agent

Pep Guardiola’s agent has revealed the former Barcelona boss agreed a deal to join Bayern Munich back in December.

Guardiola stood down at the climax of the last campaign for the Blaugrana and has been on a year sabbatical, but on Wednesday afternoon it was announced he would return to football at the Bundesliga club.

However, Josep Maria Orobitg has said the ink on the contract dried weeks ago, while revealing the Bavarians were the best club to have bid for the Spaniard, despite having been approached by teams offering more money.

“[Guardiola signed] around December 20,” the representative told EFE Radio on Wednesday evening.

“He chose Bayern because they were the best team of all the ones he had offers from.

“We went over the offers and Bayern are not the team which offered the most money.

“He chose them because of their organisation, and because of the potential he sees and because of their footballers.”

Orobitg claimed Roma and AC Milan were interested in Guardiola, but was quick to shoot down some of the rumours that had circulated about the former Camp Nou coach.

“There were contacts with clubs that were close, and others that were put on hold until a decision would be taken,” he added.

“Everybody was saying that there were offers, meetings which happened, meetings which didn’t, trips that didn’t exist … a lot was written.”

Despite Guardiola having signed prior to the Ballon d’Or – around the start of the Bundesliga winter break – the news has not become public knowledge until Wednesday, and Guardiola’s agent confessed the decision to make an announcement this soon from Bayern came as a surprise.

“It’s all been signed for some time, [but] I didn’t know that it was going to be announced [Wednesday] afternoon,” Orobitg explained.

“In fact, I was told at 12.00 and they said we’d only talk about what came out in the statement. It is a lie that there was a leak. They wanted to take the decision today.

“Yesterday, the club were denying it, but when a lot of people start to know it’s impossible to keep up with it; then you’ve got to tell the sponsors and organise things. These are really serious people.”
