Mascherano: “Only Inter”

Reports from England and Spain were saying that Javier Mascherano is just step away from signing a contract with Barcelona. But now it is clear that this scenario will not go throught. Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has denied reports that the club have reached any agreement to sign Javier Mascherano from Liverpool, and has also claimed that the player ‘does not fit into the club’s season plan’.

Now it is all on Inter, who had the best chances on signing Mascherano from the very beginning. Mascherano wants to join Inter and re-unite with his former boss Rafael benitez and his Argentinian teammates, Diego Milito, Walter Samuel, Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso etc. Inter was holding the negotations because as Massimo Moratti, the president of Inter said, they did not have enough money to buy Mascherano, but now as they sold  Balotelli to Man City, money is not a problem. We will see in next few days, if this saga will come to an end.

Ferguson doesnt want Macheda to leave

Italian Under-21 international Federico Macheda will not leave Manchester United on loan, said Sir Alex Ferguson, because “he’s cocky.” There were reports the teenager would be shipped out to gain more first team experience in the Premier League.

“He is one we have to keep a close eye on. He has a cocky arrogance about him. He will argue with players in a training session and he will compete for his ego. But he’s only 18, he’s not 19 until October and we keep forgetting that. He is an exceptional talent and he is tough. He does not get bullied in games. He gives as good as he gets. There was no chance of us ever letting him go on loan – he stays here. We need to keep an eye on him.”

Jose Mourinho plans a £10 Million bid for Didier Drogba

Didier Drogba may get an offer of £10 Million from Real Madrid as Jose Mourinho plans a daring bid to get the player from Chelsea. The Real Madrid coach who returned to the club last week to get Ricardo Carvalho for a deal of £6.7 million expects to get the striker from Ivory Coast.

But Chelsea is not interested to discuss about sending the striker from the team and will do anything to keep the player in their side just what they did in Ashley Cole matter this summer. Drogba has been performing very well since he joined Chelsea and has won three FA Cups and three Premier League titles.

The player has had a close relationship with Mourinho when they were together at Stamford Bridge and may have an interest to join Real Madrid. Mourinho expects chances of getting the Ivorian captain from Chelsea are more and £10 million bid will be enough to do that.

Wayne Rooney’s injury problem continues

Wayne Rooney is doubtful for Manchester United’s opening match in Premier League with Newcastle United on Monday due to hamstring strain. The player was injured during a friendly match against Hungary which was won by England 2-1.

Rooney has been under treatment since he came from the international side and now has become doubtful, but he has not been ruled out yet from the opening game against Newcastle United. The player was in a very good form last time as he played 44 matches and scored 34 times and also was awarded as the Footballer of the Year and PFA player of the Year.

The Manchester United Striker has been struggling to score since his last scoring game was against Bayern Munich on March 30 in Champions League quarter-final. He was struggling in the remaining season too and he was unable to score in the England teams bad run during the World Cup in South Africa.

Neymar under pressure and worried about his future

The young player from the Brazilian side Neymar is under confusion as he said that he expects to join Chelsea. Chelsea has been behind the player the entire summer but the player confusingly said Neymar is from Santos when asked about his move to Stamford Bridge.

The Santos are determined to keep the player until he is sold out as Luis Alvaro warned about reporting the Premier League club to FIFA as there is a continuous chase for the player. He also said this is completely unacceptable and the team will defend the player in any circumstances.

The controversies have started to build around the player which he himself knows and wants to keep out of it. The player was questioned about his position in the club for which he responded saying ‘Neymar is from Santos. Are you deaf?’ but later the player said he doesn’t have any idea if he is going to stay or leave.
