Eberechi Eze mural appears outside Emirates Stadium ahead of Arsenal move

Arsenal fans clearly can’t wait for Eberechi Eze to join their ranks.

Just hours after news broke of his imminent £60m move from Crystal Palace to north London, a massive mural of the England international appeared near the Emirates Stadium.

Eze, who helped Palace win the FA Cup last season, had been linked with Tottenham for months, with a verbal agreement seemingly in place. But in the ultimate transfer twist, Arsenal swooped in at the last minute to steal the 27-year-old from under their rivals’ noses.

The mural, created by renowned street artist Northbanksy, shows Eze in an Arsenal shirt performing his signature goal celebration – crossing his fingers in front of him.

Northbanksy, a lifelong Arsenal supporter, shared the work on social media, proudly displaying it in his self-styled Arsenal street art gallery known as ‘The Tunnel.’

“Eberechi Eze of Arsenal Football Club,” he wrote on X alongside various snaps of the mural, including when selfie in which he imitated Eze’s pose.

While many Arsenal fans were quick to praise Northbanksy for his work and share their excitement Eze’s pending move to the club, some pointed out that Eze’s move hasn’t actually been confirmed by either the Gunners or Palace just yet.

“Great work but I hope this doesn’t come back to haunt us,” commented one supporter. “We’re ridiculing Spurs fans after the deal fell through. We’ll be the laughing stock if this now doesn’t happen.”

Northbanksy, however, wasn’t phased by the potential backlash, offering a classic artist’s response: “That’s the risk I run.”

Only time will tell if the mural will be a masterstroke or go down as one of the boldest, and most premature, statements in north London football history.

adidas, David Beckham unveil stunning Inter Miami-inspired Predator Elite boots

David Beckham’s long-standing love affair with adidas Predator boots continues, with the legendary midfielder unveiling a striking new signature pair: the adidas Predator Elite by David Beckham.

Following the success of his first signature release in 2024, Beckham returns with a second design – this time in a bold, attention-grabbing pink.

The new boots fuse performance with personality, drawing inspiration from Beckham’s own Major League Soccer team, Inter Miami, which he founded in 2018. A vivid pink upper is accented with the iconic three stripes in black and refined white details, giving the boot both a playful and premium feel.

Subtle nods to Beckham’s history with the Predator line appear throughout. The insole is adorned with a pink Beckham graphic, and the design references the pink boots he wore during his MLS playing days in 2011, coinciding with the birth of his daughter Harper.

The signature fold-over tongue features the adidas logo alongside Beckham’s personal branding in crisp white, while the pink elastic carries the PREDATOR logo, completing the look.

“When it came to designing this boot, I knew straight away it had to be pink,” Beckham said. “The pink design isn’t just a colour choice, it’s a statement – it’s having the confidence to stand out from the crowd. This boot, and the sneaker, inspired by my love of Miami, bring together performance, style and my personal taste.”

The adidas Predator Elite by David Beckham will be showcased on-pitch by some of adidas’ biggest names, including Pedri, Alessia Russo, Myles Lewis Skelly, Rodrigo De Paul, Éder Militão and Aitana Bonmati, cementing the boot’s status as both a style statement and a top-tier performance tool.

With its striking colourway and personal touches, Beckham’s pink Predator Elite proves that in football, confidence is just as important as skill – and sometimes it comes in pink.

Neymar left in tears after Santos suffer humbling 6-0 defeat

Neymar was left in tears on the pitch as Santos endured a crushing 6-0 loss at home to Vasco da Gama – the heaviest defeat of his career.

The defeat marked the first time Santos have conceded six goals at home in a Brazilian Serie A match, leaving the eight-time champions perilously just two points above the relegation zone. The result also cost coach Cleber Xavier his job, with the club announcing his sacking just hours after the match.

Vasco’s win, their first in six league games and their largest in 17 years, was highlighted by former Liverpool and Aston Villa forward Philippe Coutinho scoring twice.

Speaking after the game, Neymar did not hold back his frustration.

“I’m ashamed,” he said. “I’m totally disappointed with our performance. The fans have every right to protest, obviously without using violence. But if they want to curse and insult, they’re in their right.”

On his emotional exit from the field, Neymar added: “I’ve never experienced this in my life. The tears were from anger, from everything. Unfortunately, I can’t help in every way.”

Santos were relegated for the first time in their history in 2023 before bouncing back to the top flight last season. Neymar, who came through the club’s youth ranks before leaving for Barcelona in 2013, returned on a short-term contract in January and has since contributed six goals and three assists from 21 appearances in all competitions.

Reflecting on the humbling loss, Neymar said: “It’s a shame to play like that wearing the Santos jersey. Everyone needs to lay their head on their pillow and think about what they want to do.”

Cristiano Ronaldo leads launch as Al Nassr drop dazzling new 2025/26 home kit

Al Nassr have unveiled their brand-new adidas home kit for the 2025/26 season – a bold design inspired by Riyadh’s blazing sunshine, the Arabian desert, and the aura of their nickname, The Knights.

The shirt arrives in the club’s traditional yellow and navy, but it’s the intricate graphics that elevate it to something more than just a jersey. A radiating pattern flows across the base, symbolising the sun that dominates Riyadh’s skyline while doubling as a visual nod to a knight’s aura of strength.

The wavy motif also echoes the rolling dunes and textures of the Saudi desert, adding another layer of local identity woven into the design.

adidas have completed the look with crisp navy detailing, including side piping and logos, alongside the club’s newly modernised crest. Gone is the ornate crown of the past; in its place sits a circular badge, pairing deep blue and yellow with a stylised Arabian Peninsula map and the words “NASSR” and “RIYADH 1955” – a streamlined emblem for a new era.

And, unsurprisingly, the face of the launch was none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese legend fronts the campaign in dramatic fashion, starring in a cinematic video that opens with the line: “Not just a jersey, but a flag raised.”

Alongside teammates João Félix, Sadio Mané and others, Ronaldo was also front and centre of the photoshoots – a reminder that whether on or off the pitch, he remains Al-Nassr’s ultimate standard bearer.
