Rivaldo leaves Kabuscorp

Rivaldo has announced his departure from Angolan side Kabuscorp, 11 months after joining the club.

The experienced midfielder will soon return to Africa to continue working on the Rivaldo10 Institute, and says the country will be forever in his heart.

“It’s a day to say goodbye here in Angola, but that’s only in football. I’m sure Angola will always be like a second home to me. Special moments with the kids today. Thank you God for this very special year,” he wrote on his official page.

The 40-year-old had previously hinted at his retirement after picking up a shoulder injury in October, leaving his future in the sport uncertain.

Rivaldo appeared 74 times for his country, scoring 34 goals.

Spartak agree transfer of Abdul Majeed Waris from BK Hacken

Spartak have agreed to sign striker Abdul Majeed Waris from Allsvenskan side BK Hacken.

After reportedly being linked to Premier League teams Everton and Chelsea, the Russian club have won the battle for the talented 21-year-old’s signature.

The Ghana international was the top scorer in the Swedish league this term, netting 23 goals in 29 appearances.

“The premier league’s top scorer has been surrounded by professional rumours almost the entire season,” according to a statement on Hacken’s official website.

“Now it’s clear. BK Hacken and Spartak Moscow have agreed on a transfer. Only the details remain.”

Spartak Moscow currently sit fourth in the Russian league, eight points behind leaders CSKA.

Chamakh could leave Arsenal if first-team football is not available

Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh has suggested that if he is not playing regular football for the Gunners, he could return to Bordeaux in January.

Chamakh had felt that the departure of Robin van Persie to Manchester United during the summer would result in him playing for the club more regularly.

However, with the likes of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, coupled with the recent decision to play Gervinho as a striker, Chamakh has spent the majority of the season warming the substitutes’ bench.

“After Robin van Persie left, I thought I’d play more,” he told French radio station RMC.

“The competition is always a little hard in a club like that. I expected it. It’s [up] to me to prove myself. But, in two [to] three] months If nothing changes, I must make a decision.

“With the departure of Robin, I’d say that I had a playing card. And if my playing time doesn’t change, I’m not fooled, I’ll go away.”

The 28-year-old insisted that he would like to stay in the Premier League, but refused to rule out a move to former club Bordeaux.

“Bordeaux? it could be a solution, if I decide to go. But my priority is to stay at Premier League,” he added.

Baldini: Roma will listen to offers for De Rossi

Franco Baldini has revealed Roma would be willing to listen to any proposal regarding the transfer of Daniele De Rossi.

Reports over the summer linked Manchester City with a €50 million bid for the Italy international, but the 52-year-old remains open to offers for the player in the future.

“In the summer there was an offer made by Manchester City,” he told Sky Sports. “We listened to that offer and considered it.

“If we were to get another offer we would listen again. But we could easily decline again.”

He then went on to give his thoughts on the Giallorossi’s upcoming derby against Lazio on Sunday and was quick to state the magnitude of the contest.

“It is a game like no other,” said Baldini. “It completely takes over the city and holds an importance like nothing else. It is completely out of the ordinary.”

The capital club currently sit in sixth place in Serie A, with 17 points from their first 11 games.

Chelsea need a player like Wilfried Bony, says Kalas

EXCLUSIVE
By Floris Koekenbier

Vitesse defender Tomas Kalas feels that Wilfried Bony would be the perfect signing for Chelsea as they currently lack an attacker with the Cote d’Ivoire international’s qualities.

The Czech, one of three Chelsea players on loan at the club alongside Patrick van Aanholt and Gael Kakuta, is unsure whether Fernando Torres has the physical presence to lead the Blues’ attack, and believes his team-mate would add something to the team that they currently lack.

The 23-year-old Bony has been in impressive form for Vitesse this term, netting 12 goals in 11 Eredivisie appearances, and his good performances have not gone unnoticed abroad.

“Chelsea need a player like him [Bony] at the moment. Torres is always moving and works hard, but he is not strong enough to lead the line. I’m sorry for Torres, but that’s my personal opinion,” Kalas told Goal.com.

“Bony has so much quality. It’s incredible how strong he is and he’s excellent on the ball, too. I can understand why he has been linked with Chelsea and other clubs.

“It will be impossible for Vitesse to hold on to him if he keeps this up. Perhaps we’ll play together at Chelsea in the future. That would be great.

“We haven’t spoken about a transfer yet, but it would be nice to play alongside him at Stamford Bridge in a while.”

Bony was close to joining Aston Villa in the summer transfer window, but the move eventually fell through as the Premier League side failed to reach an agreement with Vitesse.
