Leeds honour fans with release of 2025/26 home kit

Leeds United are back in the Premier League for the 2025/26 season – and they’re doing it in style with a new home kit that pays homage to their loyal supporters.

Designed by adidas, the jersey features the club’s traditional all-white base, paired with the brand’s signature three stripes on the shoulders.

Unique to this year’s design are the red, white, and blue tile-effect trims around the collar and sleeves – subtle details inspired by the famous Lowfields Tunnel. For generations, Leeds fans have passed through the tiled tunnel on their way to Elland Road. More than just a walkway, it’s a ritual and a symbolic gateway to the matchday experience – now captured beautifully in this meaningful design.

Further reinforcing the bond between players and supporters, the jersey includes the “We Are Leeds” motto – evoking unity and shared pride on and off the pitch.

The on-pitch version is engineered with adidas’ AEROREADY technology for airflow and performance. The fan version uses absorbent, sweat-wicking materials to deliver comfort from kickoff to full-time and beyond.

The 2025/26 Leeds United home kit is available now at the Elland Road Stadium Store, Trinity Leeds, White Rose Centre, selected adidas retailers and online.

adidas pay dazzling tribute to Lionel Messi with new F50 ‘Radiant Blaze’ boot

After a nine-year break, adidas’ legendary F50 boots made a stunning comeback last year with the ‘Fast Reborn’ edition. Now, the iconic speed boot returns again – this time as the F50 ‘Radiant Blaze’, a vibrant new chapter that pays tribute to both the boot’s heritage and one of football’s greatest icons: Lionel Messi.

Inspired by the shimmering ‘Chameleon’ boots Messi wore at the 2010 World Cup, the Radiant Blaze boots burst with a dazzling mix of iridescent purple and neon green. This eye-catching colourway isn’t just for show – it signals the explosive pace and sharp control these boots deliver on the pitch.

Crafted for speed demons, the Radiant Blaze features the Sprintframe 360 soleplate – engineered to offer rock-solid traction and stability as you slice through defences. The boot’s sleek external heel counter adds a stylish edge while locking down your foot for quick cuts and lightning-fast sprints.

The lightweight Fibertouch upper wraps your foot in a snug, supportive fit, perfect for rapid acceleration and sharp turns. A textured Sprintweb overlay boosts ball control where it counts – helping you keep command even at full throttle.

Whether you prefer laces or a clean, laceless look, adidas has you covered. The laced version sports a flexible compression-fit tongue reinforced for extra lockdown, while the laceless model hugs your ankle with a soft Primeknit collar that feels like a second skin.

To top it off, adidas includes two sockliners so you can choose your perfect ride: the SL Speed Sockliner for blistering bursts, or the Comfort Sockliner for cushioned impact protection.

Some of football’s fastest stars – Messi himself, plus Lamine Yamal, Mohamed Salah, Florian Wirtz, Rafael Leão and Son Heung-min – will be rocking the Radiant Blaze, blazing trails and leaving defenders in the dust.

The Radiant Blaze also heads up adidas’ Radiant Blaze Pack, which refreshes the Predator and COPA boots with neon green accents – because when you’re turning heads, every detail counts.

With the F50 Radiant Blaze, adidas isn’t just celebrating speed – they’re lighting the way for a new generation of game-changers ready to leave their mark on football history.

Chelsea revamp club classics with new ‘Reimagined Icons’ apparel line

Chelsea have reimagined some of the club’s most iconic clothing pieces in a new limited-edition apparel line titled “Reimagined Icons.”

The collection features six unique items, each representing a key chapter in Chelsea’s storied history. Six talented London designers have taken these classic pieces and transformed them – not to simply repeat the past, but to reinterpret and modernise it for today’s fans.

The line opens with the 1906 Royal Blue Crew, a camouflage-style jersey inspired by the early years when Chelsea first adopted their signature royal blue colour. Following that is the Ted Drake Bomber, a contemporary take on the blazer famously worn by players under manager Ted Drake in the 1950s.

The vibrant Renaissance Track Jacket pays homage to Chelsea’s successful ‘Italian Renaissance’ era in the 1990s.

Also included is the Gianluca Pullover, an elegant black garment reimagining the iconic sweater worn by manager Gianluca Vialli during Chelsea’s memorable 2000 FA Cup victory at Wembley. The Kings of Europe Jersey brings new energy to the bold black shirt worn under Roberto Di Matteo when Chelsea lifted their first-ever Champions League trophy in 2012.

Finally, the collection features the Champions’ Rings, a modern interpretation of the rings presented by Emma Hayes to her players at the end of her legendary tenure as Chelsea Women’s head coach.

This limited-edition collection is available now online and at the Stamford Bridge Megastore. With only a small number produced, it offers true Chelsea fans a rare opportunity to own a piece of the club’s rich heritage – reimagined for the modern era.

Christian Pulisic opens second ‘Stomping Grounds’ facility for underserved youth

Christian Pulisic is transforming his love for football into real-world impact with the launch of the second ‘Stomping Grounds’ facility – a vibrant new hub in Culver City, Los Angeles dedicated to underserved youth.

This isn’t just another sports centre; it’s a dynamic community playground filled with purpose-built football zones, mentorship programs, and life skills workshops designed to inspire and empower the next generation.

The innovative space was developed alongside Culver City Football Club, a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting local kids through the power of football.

To mark the grand opening, Pulisic joined local youth for a day packed with energy and excitement.

The lineup included goal celebrations and skill sessions on an indoor pitch, a PUMA Cobra Golf-powered putting green, life-size chess battles and guided stretching and fitness activities. The goal? To spark creativity, boost confidence, and forge connections that extend well beyond the field.

“Creating more opportunities for kids to play the game they love has always been important to me,” Pulisic said in a press release shared with Sports Illustrated. “[Stomping Grounds] is about giving young people a safe space to grow, be inspired, and build confidence both on and off the pitch.”

Following the trailblazing success of the original Stomping Grounds in Miami – which has already served over 950 kids – this LA hub aims to replicate and expand that impact on the West Coast.

“At PUMA, we believe in the power of sport to create social change – and the Pulisic Legacy Program at Stomping Grounds is a direct reflection of that mission,” said Tara McRae, President of PUMA North America. “We’re proud to partner with Christian to deliver permanent, community-led spaces that not only promote play but also foster personal growth and mentorship for the next generation.”

With the new Culver City facility, Pulisic and PUMA are not just building football spaces – they’re changing lives one kick at a time.

Joao Pedro names best player he’s ever played with after £60m Chelsea move

Chelsea officially announced the £60m signing of João Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this week, committing the Brazilian to an eight-year contract.

As is now tradition, Chelsea flooded their social media channels with photos, videos, and interviews featuring their latest star. In one rapid-fire Q&A video, the 24-year-old was asked a series of quick questions.

Pedro’s answers were largely predictable: his favourite Chelsea player of all time? Frank Lampard. His football idol growing up? Neymar. The best player he’s ever played against? Cristiano Ronaldo.

But when asked who the best player he’s ever played with was, Pedro’s answer caught fans completely off guard.

“James Milner,” he said.

Milner, who joined Brighton in 2023 at the age of 37, spent two seasons alongside Pedro at the Amex Stadium before the Brazilian’s switch to Stamford Bridge.

While Milner, now 39, is undoubtedly a Premier League legend – boasting two league titles and a Champions League trophy with Liverpool – few expected Pedro to name him above flashier teammates or countrymen. Yet, fans were intrigued by the honest, perhaps heartfelt, answer.

One fan wrote on social media: “They asked João Pedro who’s the best player he’s ever played with, and he just said Milner. I rate that.”

Milner, currently chasing Gareth Barry’s all-time Premier League appearance record, needs just 16 more games to surpass it. After signing an extension with Brighton, he’s likely to break the record next season.

And when Chelsea meet Brighton again, Milner may just become the best player Pedro has ever played against – not just alongside.

Better than Ronaldo? Maybe that’s a stretch. But Pedro clearly rates the veteran midfielder higher than most expected.
