New Balance reveals Tekela v5, next generation of its signature control boot

New Balance has lifted the curtain on the Tekela?v5, the fifth generation of its signature control silo.

Engineered for playmakers who read the game a step ahead, the boot focuses on touch, traction, and comfort in one streamlined package.

A one?piece TouchTech microfiber upper carries shallow debossed channels and printed grip zones, giving an almost glove?like feel on the ball. Up top, a Hypoknit stretch collar wraps the ankle for seamless lockdown, eliminating layers that can dull first contact.

Underfoot, a nylon plate mixes conical studs with angled TPU rims at the forefoot, supplying quick release in every direction – ideal for tight turns and instant acceleration.

The launch colourway is impossible to ignore: solar?yellow base for visibility, black overlays framing the tech zones, and red flashes for a hit of aggression. It’s all designed to echo Tekela’s mantra: see the unseen, control the moment.

Expect to spot the Tekela?v5 on the feet of Endrick, Jordan?Huitema, Harvey?Elliott, and Tim?Weah in upcoming fixtures, offering a real?time demo of the boot’s credentials.

Fans can grab the first?edition Tekela?v5 starting?June 24,?2025 exclusively at on New Balance’s official website. Wider retail release follows on?July 24, with more colourways slated to roll out later in the season.

Lightweight build, locked?in collar, and touch?focused tech make the Tekela?v5 a genuine upgrade – perfect for players who run the game with vision and precision.

NFL?& ?Fanatics re?imagine all 32 franchises with limited collection kits

In North America, “football” means touchdowns, tailgates, and Sunday rituals. For the rest of the world, it’s a game of goals, chants, and club crests. Now, both versions of the sport collide in a crossover collection that’s already turning heads.

Fanatics and the NFL have teamed up for the ‘Football x Football’ Collection, a limited-edition jersey series that reimagines every NFL team through the lens of classic soccer kit design.

Each of the 32 shirts leans fully into the aesthetics of the global game – think retro collars, World Cup-inspired patterns, and typography that feels more Maracanã than MetLife. But beneath the surface, every piece is still rooted in each team’s unique NFL identity.

To ensure that balance felt authentic, Fanatics brought together a global design crew from Europe, South America, and the U.S., blending vintage football iconography with each NFL franchise’s colours, legacy, and fan culture.

These aren’t your typical fan tops. They’re part throwback, part concept kit, and full-on collector bait.

The collection was exclusively available between June 20 and June 22 at Fanatics Fest NYC, running at the Javits Center in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan – if you were there, you’ve undoubtedly got your hands on something special.

Club America’s nostalgia-filled 2025/26 home kit leaked

Between 1994 and 1996, Mexican giants Club América wore one of the most beloved football shirts of all time.

The yellow adidas jersey – with its red, blue, and black diamond pattern across the chest, centralised crest, and iconic Coca-Cola sponsor – is etched into football kit history and still cherished by fans and collectors alike.

Now, that legendary look may be making a comeback.

Leaked photos from Footy Headlines suggests Club América’s upcoming 2025/26 home shirt will pay direct homage to that era-defining design.

Similar to the original, the leaked kit features a bright yellow base, with bold red, blue, and black squares extending just below the crest and into the Caliente sponsor. The crest remains centred, a nod to the original layout.

The new version swaps in adidas’ modern touches, including black rounded neck detailing and three-stripe branding on the shoulders. Unlike the classic v-neck from the mid-’90s, this updated version keeps the silhouette contemporary while clearly echoing its roots.

While not a one-to-one replica, the resemblance is unmistakable. And with adidas returning as Club América’s kit supplier for the first time since 2000, the throwback design feels like a deliberate bridge between past and present.

It’s retro – but it’s new. If confirmed, this reimagined kit won’t just please die-hard América supporters –it could go down as an instant modern classic.
