Real Madrid have confirmed that long-serving captain Iker Casillas will leave the club for Porto.
The goalkeeper had been linked to a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu for some time, with Madrid looking to sign Kiko Casilla from Espanyol and pursuing Manchester United’s David de Gea.
The World Cup winning shot stopper had reportedly already agreed personal terms with the Portuguese side, but failure to break from his contract at the capital club was holding the deal back.
Now, though, Los Blancos have revealed that a deal has been struck that will see him bring an end to a glorious career in La Liga.
