Dybala: Pogba won't leave Juventus… and neither will I!

The Bianconeri forward has no intention of moving on from the Serie A champions after his prolific first season and expects the same of his much-in-demand team-mate

Juventus fans do not have to worry about midfielder Paul Pogba leaving this summer, insists Paulo Dybala – who says the same of his own future.

Pogba’s increasingly imperious performances for the Serie A champions have made him a target for many of football’s elite, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City just a few of the clubs linked with him.

But the Argentina international says that his conversations with his team-mate have reassured him that the former Manchester United man is not going anywhere.

“Pogba will remain here,” Dybala told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I spoke with him and I believe he will stay. We didn’t talk about football but I believe that will be the case.”

The 22-year-old has himself attracted some attention this summer after a prolific first season at Juve in which he scored at a rate of a goal every other game – but there is no temptation to seek even bigger things so soon, he says.

“I joined Juventus a year ago and I’ve never considered leaving,” Dybala declared.

“I had a great season and won the Supercoppa Italiana, Scudetto and Coppa Italia. The fans love me in Turin, I am happy here and I’m not thinking about anything else.”

Juventus have already suffered one major departure this summer after Real Madrid activated the buy-back clause in forward Alvaro Morata’s contract, a move which Dybala feels is “a big loss” for Massimiliano Allegri’s side.

“It’s a big loss given what he has done and the relationship we had,” added the former Palermo star. “He is a great man and a great friend. He helped me settle here.”
